That last post sure was a downer, wasn't it. I'm almost embarrassed by it. Okay, I am.
How about something a bit more cheerful, like a giveaway? I know the last one wasn't all that successful (maybe you all don't like snack bags), but I have a surplus of these suckers, so here we go again!
Want to win three small snack bags? You don't have to use them for food, but they work great for little snacks like pretzels, dried fruit, nuts, and the like.
They each measure approximately 3x5" and are made from 100% cotton outer with a nylon inside so that they're wipe-able, but not waterproof so they dry quickly. They close with a single plastic snap and have serged edges.
You can enter up to *three* times for this giveaway. Please leave a *separate comment* for each entry stating what you did. To enter:
-Tell me what your favorite part of my blog is (narcissistic much?)
-"Like" Strings to Things on Facebook (don't forget to tell me your name here)
-Blog about this giveaway (and don't forget to post the link here!)
That's it! I'll close the giveaway a week from today, so Sunday January 30th, at 12:00 noon, and announce the winner then.
The reason I follow your blog (you are on my Google home page) is because I enjoy hearing about the ordinary flotsam and jetsam of your life. I particularly enjoyed your recent post about breast feeding and your rant about super moms.
ReplyDeleteDid you change the pictures of your family on the side bar?
I don't do "Facebook" because I find it to be annoying.
Since I started following you late last year, i've actually picked up lots of ideas for my kids to do and tips on making life easier for me as a mom. I don't knit like you do, but I do crochet and I enjoy reading and seeing other peoples crafts. =)
ReplyDelete-I liked your page on Facebook!
ReplyDelete-I stumbled upon your blog when trying to figure out how to screen print, and kept reading. I do not have any children yet, but all of your tips, opinions, and helpful hints really make me feel more at ease with the topic. Also, I enjoy crafting, but I just haven't had the motivation lately to do any of it, even though it relaxes me and is something I love. You have given me great ideas and motivation to get started again. Thanks! Keep up the good blogging.
I don't have any of those...did you sew them yourself? I work part-time in a pre-school and have seen more and more of those kind of reusable packets holding the kids sandwiches! I would LOVE to have one...and am thinking I could try to sew some!!!
ReplyDeleteI am amazed by your knitting skills...that owl sweater is awesome. And I am pro-breastfeeding!!! I'm SHARING this on my blog!
KatieQ - Yes, I did change the pictures on the side; I like switching things up every now and again :)
ReplyDeleteMarfa - Yup, I made the snack bags myself last year for a "green" craft fair. It was super fun to participate, but I'm still in the negative for cost of materials alone, hahaha! Good thing it wasn't a big investment :)

ReplyDeleteWhy I like your blog? I love that you support women that want to breast feed, so many want to and don't have the help they need....I struggled for 6 weeks and finally won, helps to be stubborn.
ReplyDeleteThanks!
I like reading about your projects. They're inspirational to me.
